2 nights at BB cottage in McLaren Vale wine country;
Fly from Adelaide to Alice Springs; transfer from airport to hotel in Alice

3-day Rock Olgas Canyon tour;
1 night Alice Springs; transfer to airport;
Fly Alice Springs to Cairns; Great Barrier Reef 4-day tour; overnight in
Cairns;
Pick up rental car for 9-day self drive, drop off Brisbane;
2 nights Brisbane with day tour;
Day train Brisbane to Sydney;
2 nights Sydney transfer from hotel to airport for flight.
Italy - Land Tour and Cycling Tuscany
Arrive Rome - transfer to hotel - 5 days touring Rome at own leisure;
Train from Rome to Poggibonsi; transfer from train station to villa in
Staggia where start of self-guided cycle tour, stay 2 nights;
1 night in each of the following towns: cycle to Siena via Castellina heart
of Chianti wine region and on to Monteriggioni; head for Buonconvento
leaving behind the vineyards of Chianti;
Cycle to Montalcino 2 nights, renowned for its ruby-red Brunello wines;
then cycle to beautiful Montepulciano famous for its Vino Nobile, stopping
along the way at Bagno Vignoni, Pienza and Montichiello;
Next day end of cycling; transfer from Montepulciano to Solomeo for 2 days
including 1-day cooking school;
Transfer to Perugia to pick up car rental; self-drive 7-day rental travel
along Adriatic Sea coast to south spend time along Almalfi coast;
Overnight airport hotel, drop off rental car at airport prior to departure.
Turkey - Land Tour, Hike & Gulet:
Arrive Istanbul - 3-nights, sightseeing Blue Mosque, Sophia's Palace, Spice
Market, Grand Bazaar enjoying old town at own leisure; flight from Istanbul
to Izmir, transfer from airport to hotel
2 nights in Izmir at leisure to walk promanade, enjoy seaside cafes, art
galleries;
take bus from Izmir to Dalyan meet up with tour leader;
2 nights in Dalyan do small boat excursion through reedbed to ruins of
Canunus, then on to Iztuzu Beach to relax for afternoon;
Next day drive to Selcuk stopping at ruins of Alinda over night;
Drive to Selcuk via Didyma, Miletus and Priene stopping on way to see the
wealth of historical ruins spend 2 nights in Selcuk;
Leave early morning with special guide, to visit world renowned Ephesus;
Drive to Pamukkale (frozen waterfall) spend time in the warm mineral waters
and then onto Aphrodisias, the city renowned as an artistic centre with a
remarkable collection of sculptures in its museum;
Next day drive to Kas via Fethiya stopping to visit fish & spice market for
lunch, over night in Kas;
Next, drive to start of 5-night hike in Taurus Mountains staying with
Turkish families. Each day will walk through variety of landscapes,
farmland and forests to reach daily destination - start Gombe to Semsi, onto
Sutlegen, Camlikoy, meaning 'Pine Village', a small cluster of buildings set
amongst aniseed and wheat fields time to enjoy host family and fresh
mountain air;
Next stop Arsakoy situated on an escarpment overlooking the Xanthos valley,
spend 2 nights in Arsakoy optional 9 hr. hike to summits of the Akdag range
reaching heights of 2400m or day at leisure;
Wind way down to deserted settlement of Kaya Koyu and spend time exploring
the town, then hike trail to Oludeniz which is situated on an idyllic
lagoon; spend a bit of time relaxing here before bus transfers back to
Fethiye, overnight.
Next day pickup gulet (wooden boats fashioned after ancient fishing boats)
for 6 days at sea with captain, cook and helper, to just enjoy the warm
waters, sunshine and relax;
Fly Fethiye to Istanbul transfer from airport to hotel overnight;
Transfer from hotel to airport for departure.
