TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1 Arrival in Lima – City Tour, Visit to the Colonial and Contemporary Zones Upon arrival, our collaborators will hold a reception and will transfer you to the hotel. A documentation kit, detailed program explanation plus luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered. In the afternoon, we will take a city tour to the most ranked places of Lima, “The City of the Kings” including the most important architectonic samples of the city, such as the Main Square or Pizarro’s Square, where you can find de Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop’s Palace. Later, we continue with a visit to the San Francisco Convent, an architectonic jewel from the 16th century. On our way to the modern zone of the city, we will cross along the exclusive district of San Isidro, new financial heart of the city, to take a look at the Huaca Huallamarca. Finally, we conclude our circuit in Miraflores, where we will visit the Parque del Amor (Love Park), an excellent spot to enjoy a great view of the Pacific Ocean. Back to the hotel, or if you want, we can drop you off at Larcomar’s entertaining center, where you can enjoy a dynamic environment with a beautiful view of the sea and excellent places to have fun, such as coffee shops, restaurants, souvenir and craftmanship stores, jeweler’s stores, etc. Lodging in Lima. Day 2 Departure to Ica – Over flight of the Nasca Lines At the scheduled time, transfer to the station to take the bus to Ica. After approximately 4-hour drive, arrival and assistance will be offered. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the local aerodrome to take the light plane and enjoy the over flight of the Nasca Lines There you may see various figures in the land, representing animals and stylized plants, which are distributed in a huge labyrinth of lines, trapezes, triangles and hairsprings recorded over the land and preserved for almost 2000 years, according to the specialists. The rest of the day is free to rest or enjoy the hotel or make an optional visit to the city. Lodging in Ica. Meals included: breakfast.

Day 3 Paracas – Ballestas Islands– Return to Lima In the morning, transfer to the Paracas Bay, where our journey will begin with a motor boat ride of almost 2 hours to the Ballestas Islands, located in front of the Paracas National Reserve, the biggest natural sanctuary in our coastline. These two beautiful islands are home of thousands of migratory birds, such as pelicans, zarcillos, huanays, who share their habitat with groups of huge sea lions. During the excursion, you will find a mysterious design over the hill, called “El Candelabro” (The Chandelier). According to the legend, it was a reference for pirates that indicated the spot where their treasures were hidden. Others say that it was the sign for the independence army to disembark, guided by General Jose de San Martin. At the right time, we will take the bus to Lima. Upon arrival, reception at the station and transfer to the hotel. Lodging in Lima. Meals included: breakfast.

Day 4 Arequipa – City Tour and Visit to the Santa Catalina Convent At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel by our collaborators. In the afternoon, visit to the “White City” including the Santa Catalina Convent, beautiful citadel from the 16th century, with the pure style of the different Spanish cities of the time. The Main Square with its three portals, the Iglesia de la Compañia de Jesus (Church of the Company of Jesus) which is a beautiful sample of the Peruvian baroque and the Spanish baroque art from the 17th century, along with the multi colorful paintings of the San Ignacio’s Dome, known as the Sixtine Chapel of America. Continuing with the excursion, we will see the typical districts of Cayma and Yanahuara with a viewing spot and a church. Lodging in Arequipa. Meals included: breakfast.

Day 5 Colca Canyon At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel to start the trip through the town of Yura and the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Pampa Cañahuas, where you can see many species of birds in their natural habitats, and also South American cameloids, such as vicuñas and llamas. We will make a stop in Patahuasi to freshen up and enjoy a coca infusion, and later keep going to the Chivay town. Depending on the schedule, you may have lunch at the harbor or have a picnic enjoying the beautiful scenery from one of the natural viewing spots of the zone. In the afternoon, we highly recommend you to visit Calera and enjoy an invigorating bath in the hot spring waters or just to spend a delightful afternoon in the hotel facilities. Return to the hotel for dinner. Lodging in Chivay or Yanque. Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 6 Condor Cross – Return to Arequipa Very early we will start the trip to the Condor Cross (Cruz del Condor), which will allow us to enjoy a spectacular view of one of the deepest canyons in the World, and should there be time, have the great opportunity to take excellent pictures of the biggest and most imposing bird in the world, the majestic Condor. Depending on the schedule, we could make a stop in the town of Pincholo, the only pre-inca town still inhabited, and the Maca town, with its beautiful craftmanship market and colonial church. We will have lunch in Chivay and later we will continue the return to Arequipa, where we will take you to the hotel. On the road we will make a stop in Patapampa, from where we will have the view of volcanoes at 360 degrees. And we will take a look at the Misti Volcano, from where start the first affluents of the Amazonas River. This is a place of ritual importance and energetic influence, where you will have the chance to make a reverence to the Apus with an "apacheta" (offering of stones and coca leaves). Lodging in Arequipa. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.

Day 7 Puno – Sillustani Mausoleum and Lake Umayo At the scheduled time, we will transfer you to the airport to take the flight to Juliaca. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel by our collaborators. On the way we will visit Sillustani, an archaeological site located 34km north of Puno. It has the famous Chullpas, which are funerary towers with circle base, built in stone. They can reach 12m high and where used by the Collas and by the Incas. These ruins are above Lake Umayo, which increases the beauty of this mystic and wonderful place. Meals included: breakfast.

Day 8 Lake Titicaca –Floating islands of the Uros and Taquile In the morning, we will make an excursion to Lake Titicaca and as a first stop, we will visit the floating islands of the Uros, also called Lake Town. These islands are built with totora and are used as home and trade centers for the natives, who use these hand-made boats as their means of transportation. We will go on to the Taquile Island, where the community kindly welcomes tourists, keeping their traditions alive, as well as their costumes and colorful old fashioned dresses, These people are very skilled artisans and they show in every piece of work all the techniques developed for centuries. Lunch included. Lodging in Puno. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.

Day 9 Departure to Cusco – La Raya / Racchi / Andahuaylillas We will leave from the station to start our trip in a special bus to Puno, so you can enjoy the wonderful scenery of the South Valley of Cusco. We will visit the Andahuaylillas town where we will visit a precious church from the 17th century which has an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs. We will continue with a visit to the Ragchi ruins, known as the Temple of God Wiracocha. We will have lunch on the road. We will make a stop in La Raya, natural border between Cusco and Puno, from where we will get excellent photograph views. Arrival in Puno is in the afternoon, then we will transfer to the hotel. Lodging in Puno. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.

Day 10 City Tour, Visit Sacsayhuamán and Nearby Ruins Free morning to rest or hold any other optional activity. In the afternoon, we visit the Imperial City, living example of the mixture of the Andean and Spanish cultures. We start our trip visiting the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, and ancient Inca Palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Later, we will stop in the Main Square, where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Iglesia de la Compañia (Church of the Company). Going on with the trip, we will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military inca architecture which domains the city. Finally, we will take a look at the archaeological centers of Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, located north east of the city. As a suggestion to mysticism and esoterism lovers, the Sacsayhuaman Complex is an excellent spot to hold meditation sessions. Lodging in Cusco. Meals included: breakfast.

Day 11 Sacred Valley of the Incas – Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo Excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you can visit the colorful Pisac Market and appreciate a mixture of color, tradition and people. Located at 31km from Cusco, this town is in the entrance of a valley. We will continue with a tour to Ollantaytambo, with its very narrow streets which have not changed since the Inca’s time. This is the oldest constantly occupied town in America. A buffet lunch will be served in a hacienda restaurant. Lodging in the Sacred Valley. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.

Day 12 Machu Picchu “The Lost City of the Incas” You will visit one of the most energetic centers in the world: Machu Picchu. The excursion will be by train and during the trip, we will have an amazing view of the landscape of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes, our collaborators will assist you to board the bus which will take you to the citadel. It will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit us the history around this mysterious and charming place. After the guided tour, you will have some free time to explore the zone on your own, relax and meditate. At the scheduled time, we will go down to the Aguas Calientes town. Buffet lunch is included. In the afternoon, you will board the train that will take you back to Cusco. Upon arrival, our collaborators will be waiting in the special station of Poroy, from where we will transfer you to the hotel. This will save you like 40 minutes so you can be more relaxed and will be able to enjoy the nice night life of Cusco. Lodging in Cusco. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.

Day 13 Optional Second Visit to Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco Free morning. Optionally, you can make a second visit to Machu Picchu and take the opportunity to know the most secret places, such as the Intipunku or Sun Gate. Those with a sense of adventure can enjoy an ascend full of adrenaline to the Huayna Picchu mountain or Young Mountain to visit the Temple of the Moon and enjoy a spectacular view of the city. In the afternoon, you will take a train back to Cusco. Upon arrival, our collaborators will be waiting in the special station of Poroy, from where we will take you back to the hotel. This will give you 40 minutes so you can rest and enjoy the excellent night life of Cusco. Lodging in Cusco. Meals included: breakfast.

Day 14 International Departure At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. Upon arrival, assistance and connection with your international departure flight will be offered. Meals included: breakfast.

TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the tour by notifying us in writing, which must be signed by the person that signed the Reservation Form. If you cancel on or before 30 days before the first day of the tour, we will retain your deposit to cover our costs. In addition, if the cancellation notification is received less than 30 days prior to the first day of the tour, additional cancellation charges shall be as follows:

Amount of Cancellation Charges: 29-15 Days before the first day of the tour - 50% 14-7 Days before the first day of the tour 75% Less than 7 Days before the first day of the tour 100%

CHANGES BY YOU: If you request any changes to your travel arrangements once we have confirmed a booking, all out of pocket charges, including charges imposed by our suppliers, will be payable by you, plus an amendment fee of $50.00 per revision per booking. If after the commencement of your tour you request any changes to your travel arrangements, we will do our best to implement them, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. In the event of such change(s) being made, you will be liable for any cancellation charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by us and our suppliers in attempting to secure any revised arrangements. Any name changes must be provided to us in writing and are subject to any airline fees or penalties.
